Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026. This policy covers the hosted Invarn at invarn.matthewsource.com; a self-hosted Invarn is run by whoever hosts it.
What Invarn keeps, and for how long
- Servers' settings, which are IDs of roles and channels plus the texts staff write, for as long as Invarn is in the server, and 30 days after it leaves.
- Moderation records: cases, reports, appeals, ticket records and forum posts, with the names involved, for the same time. They belong to the server's records.
- Messages, in servers that turned on logs: their text and attachment links, for 7 days, so staff can see what was deleted or edited. Files stay on Discord; Invarn keeps only links.
- The server's journal (what changed and who changed it): 30 days, or 13 months for servers on Pro.
- Your account, when you sign in to the dashboard: your Discord ID, your email (to tell you about your appeals), and an encrypted Discord token to list your servers. Sessions last up to 7 days.
- Payments go through Stripe; Invarn keeps the subscription's state, never card details.
Why
Only to run the features a server turns on: logging, moderation, appeals, tickets, forums, packs and anti-nuke. Invarn doesn't sell data, show ads or use it to train models.
Who sees it
Each server's staff see that server's records, as far as their roles allow. You can see your own record in any server from the dashboard. Error reports go to a self-hosted error tracker.
Your choices
The dashboard's “Delete my data” removes your account and the cached messages you wrote. Cases about you stay in that server's records; ask its staff about them. A server removes all of its data by removing Invarn: it's gone 30 days later.
